Ecological Ukrainian-Polish Start-Up

How to expand your business into new markets?
I have noticed the publication / post about the Ukrainian-Polish startup “Hydratico” (see the original post in Ukrainian here: https://mezha.media/articles/iak-startap-hydratico-oprisnue-vodu/). You may ask me: why exactly?

Actually because of that:

⦁ This is a technology / hardware startup - not in IT, fintech ...;
⦁ Subject of their activity - desalination / water purification, both in terms of equipment and providing services on this subject. In heavy conditions of our “Mother Nature” struggle on ecological front for further survival - it is quite a worthy task;

A little searching for details on open sources added the following:

⦁ The core of Hydratico’s technology is a novel, patented desalination process based on the supercavitation effect - a new, most effective method of hydrodynamic evaporation with the largest known on the market steam consumption per m2 of evaporation surface. Sea water desalination is not the exceptional application of this method. Hydratico has applied this technology to industrial water treatment in mining (mine water treatment) as well. This technology significantly contributes to the development of sustainable communities by ensuring a steady water supply without depleting local rivers and lakes. Combined with improved waste management practices, Hydratico’s technology contributes to economic sustainability, enhanced water security, and drought resilience of communities;
⦁ HYDRATICO’s technology has been already successfully tested via small-scale early prototypes with the capacity of a few m3/h;
⦁ The startup actively promotes itself and confidently seeks grant & venture funding – On June 9, 2024, MIT Solve, an initiative of MIT (supports exceptional solutions that leverage technology to address the causes and impacts of the climate crisis), announced Hydratico as Semi-Finalist of the 2024 Global Climate Challenge. Solve backs selected innovators in scaling their impact and drive lasting change;
⦁ The team is being led by Katarzyna Geiger, CEO of Hydratico. During the ceremony ”Woman of the XXI century” she received an award for “Woman CEO of the best technological company”.

All the details mentioned above are the good basis for a project promising future.

Let's wish any kind of success for this Ukrainian-Polish initiative.
